Pointed layered flowers

I make these flowers from my card scraps. Be careful using the very smallest punches on anything but the thinnest card as I have broken a lever punch trying to cut thick card.

You will need:
a variety of punches in different sizes. Most of mine are Sullivans, bought at Lincraft, but I do have a couple of Fiskars punches.
Wooden skewer
glue
half pearl

The red centred  flowers are made using the yellow Sullivans six petal daisy and the green 8 petal daisy. For the cream flower, I have also layered on the orange 8 petal daisy.

For both flowers, cut 2 sets of petals using the yellow leaver punch and one using the green lever punch.
using a thin wooden skewer, roll both edges of the petals inwards so that the petals are cupped along the length of the petal.

Pinch the end of the petal together

If you want the more rounded look, (like the cream flower) roll and pinch the remaining petals. For a more pointy look (red flower) place your thumb inside the petal and pinch the end again, pushing it back towards your thumb.

Roll and pinch the second set of large petals, then layer and glue  the two sets of petals so that they are offset. Using the smaller set of petals, roll and pinch as before, then glue into the centre of the flower. Add a half pearl to the centre.

On the cream flowers I have not used a pinched petal. I glued a small cupped flower into the centre instead.
