This card was coloured using Prismacolour pencils and Zest-it and the olive filligree layer is a Spellbinders design. Again, I found it much easier to control prismacolours than using copic pens. I think that copics are really not for me as I don't seem to be able to control the application of colour for the effects I want. Other seem to manage well with copics but art is a very personal thing and what technique works for one doesn't always work well for another. I've now purchased a small device that will change them to an airbrush so the pens don't go to waste, but I do wish I'd discovered Prismacolours and Zest it before I'd invested in the pens!

Baby Boy Card
Another baby boy I needed to make a card for. This one I coloured using copics for the hair and blue, but prismacolour pencils and zest-it for the skin tones. The skin looks patchy in this photo but it isn't like that in real life. The photo was a bit dark and I used an auto equaliser to brighten it which I think has caused the patchiness seen in this image.

Same issue as last time - using an autoequaliser makes the contrast between the shading and main colour stand out and look patchy. I had some design block with this card. I coloured the image and then couldn't decide what to do with it. So i did what I normally do for inspiration - hit Pinterest. I love looking at all the lovely cards and papercraft ideas there. The only downside is I can waste vast amounts of time browsing!
